Founded in honour of Kiah, Monkey Boy for Mental Health is a grassroots movement using storytelling, advocacy, and merch with meaning to change how Australia responds to mental health — one conversation, one reform, one life at a time.

How We Help

Monkey Boy for Mental Health began with heartbreak — and hope.

In 2022, I lost my beautiful son Kiah to suicide after he was failed by the very systems meant to help him. He reached out for help. No one came. And my world changed forever.

MB4MH was born not just in his memory, but in his honour — to fight for change, to reduce stigma, and to remind people they’re not alone. What started with handmade fidget mats in the quiet moments of grief has grown into something louder: a movement.

Now, MB4MH exists to share stories, spark reform, and show up for people in ways the system didn’t show up for Kiah. We use merch with meaning, education, and lived experience to say what Kiah should’ve heard loud and clear:
